That will work just fine for Elk!

There are plenty of elk the area! Just get out and scout and you'll find the animals.

Whatever keeps you shooting and your rifle likes to group well. I shoot the cheap stuff (Federal Power Shok soft points) and the elk wont know the difference between a $1 bullet and a $4 bullet.

Plenty of hunters too since the State points people that way. Had a herd with a nice bull spotted two years ago so my dad and I planned on taking two different roads to set up on for opening morning. Dad got to his just before daylight to find that one group had block the road in a mile from the landing. When daylight came, the ridge the elk were on was surrounded by at least 20 rigs. After the first shot, people cut loose from every possible angle. That's the last time I'm hunting clearcuts for elk.

When you could drive it all, 673 was a zoo during modern.  It will still be busy, but Hancock gating some land off should help a little.

:yeah:  between Weyerhauser, Hancock, and Rayonier a good chunk of the lank is locked up. You can't walk in on the Rayonier section without a permit either.
